Ruby Class, Year 2!
We hope that you had a super summer.
We will be learning lots of new things in Rubies so here is some useful information for those of you starting in Year 2 this September.
Have a look through our class pages and find out more about what we love to do in Year 2!
Above you can see our recreation of the Great Fire of London, 1666.
We will be learning about the Great Fire later on in the year.
Important Things to Remember
PE is on Mondays and Fridays but it is important to have your PE kit in all week, just in case we do extra PE!
PE kit is a red t-shirt, black shorts and black plimsolls. Please bring it in a named bag!
This term we will be playing tennis on Monday afternoons with a specialist Tennis coach. We will be outside for this.
Maths homework goes home on Thursday and Spellings go home on Friday! Spellings are tested every Friday.
Please bring your homework book in on Mondays to have it marked.
Try to read everyday if you can!
There is a list of reading homework activities to choose from in the front of the yellow homework book.
Our School Mascot, Johnny Fisher, loves reading!
If you would like to come in and help the children with reading, please speak to Miss Lord!
