Teaching Assistant: Mrs Ball

Please remember to come to school in your PE kit every Friday.

You should be wearing a red top, black shorts and plimsolls or trainers. School jumpers should be worn, and if the weather is chilly, then you can also wear jogging bottoms.

Homework will be handed out on a Thursday as often as is possible.  This should be completed by Tuesday.  If your child needs help, please write a message in their book and we can go through it with them. Incomplete homework will need to be completed during play times.

Please read for 20 minutes everyday and use our class reading journal to record what you have read.

Practising your x tables will help you to short circuit your brains when you are solving problems in maths.

Remember that practice makes perfect!

Purple Mash

Please login using the Purple Mash login at the front of your homework book. Make sure you are logging into our school on Purple Mash – the website is:

https://www.purplemash.com/stjohnfisher

As part of your weekly homework, you should be practising your times tables. In order to help you build up your speed of recall, you have been assigned the task of completing the online times table activities on Purple Mash.

You will be able to see your result and check any questions you may have made errors with. This will help you to see which times tables you need more practice with.

The more you practise the quicker your recall of facts will be.

Websites to help with times tables practice

Please practice your 3,4,6 and 8 times tables to begin with. Then move onto your 7, 9 and 12 times tables. You should already be confident with the 2, 5, 10 and 11 times tables.
