Saturday 5 July marks the annual Alice’s Day festival, when Oxford transforms into a Wonderland for all to enjoy! The theme for 2025 is Quests and Adventures. Venues across the city are offering an exciting programme of family-friendly events including storytelling, trails, games, crafts, talks and tours, mostly free and suitable for all ages. There is plenty to enjoy at The Story Museum too with half price entry to immersive galleries, face painting, storytelling and much more.

The Story Museum will be offering half price entry to visit its interactive galleries and an opportunity to go on your own adventure in Snarks and Riddles – the boardgame! Designed by The Story Museum’s young Story Curators, visitors will find themselves immersed in a beautifully designed, life-size adventure game inspired by the story worlds of Lewis Carroll. And don’t miss the chance to book a place at The Story Museum’s giant Wonderland Afternoon Tea, taking place in the Museum’s Magic Common Room. Indulge in delicious cakes, sandwiches and savouries freshly made by the café team.
