Cross Country Success!

A muddy Tuesday
Yesterday our KS2 cross country stars ventured to Oxford Spires to take part in the Oxford City Schools Cross Country.
It was an extremely muddy and hilly course and our children performed brilliantly in fields of over 100 runners for each race.
We had magnificent performances throughout with children pushing themselves to their limit.
We also had success! For the first time ever, we won one of the races!
Our Y3/4 girls team finished 1st overall (your top 4 runners scores are added together) with a score of 33, (2nd place was 56!)
Usually the winning schools come from areas where practice on a large field is much easier - but nothing beats our determination!
There were 15 schools in the event, which highlights how amazing these girls were - now they get to go on to an Oxfordshire wide event in the new year
The only photos I have are of the girls and their trophy - however I made a video for Instagram
