Leys CDI Summer Holiday Courses

Leys CDI are holding summer courses for 4 weeks of fun
Dear parents and carers,
We know how important it is for young people to have somewhere safe, positive and welcoming to spend their summer a place where they can have fun, learn new skills, make friends and enjoy a proper meal each day. That’s exactly what Leys CDI will be offering once again this year.
Our Summer Youth Courses will run for four weeks, Monday to Thursday, from 27 July to 20 August 2026, and we would love to welcome your child.
What your child can enjoy
Each week is full of structured, supervised activities, including:
- Arts and crafts
- Cookery workshops
- Educational sessions and visiting guests
- Dance classes
- Martial arts
- A wide range of sports including- football, basketball, athletics, swimming and more
- Weekly trips to activities such as ten‑pin bowling, crazy golf, laser quest and other exciting outings
For those who attend regularly, we’re also offering a, subsidised, special intergenerational trip to Cotswold Wildlife Park on Tuesday 25 August, bringing our young people and local seniors together for a memorable day out.
Meals and snacks included - every day
Every child attending receives:
- A hot, freshly cooked meal
- Drinks and refreshments
- Fruit and healthy snacks throughout the day
We want every young person to feel nourished, energised and ready to enjoy their time with us.
FREE for all families
Thanks to Oxfordshire County Council’s HAF funding and the generosity of our CDI partners, places are completely FREE , not just for children receiving free school meals, but for every young person aged 9–18 in our community. These 'free places' are obviously limited. However, if parents/carers pre-book it helps us plan and, if possible. avoid turning anyone away.
Please pre‑book , it really helps us plan
To make sure we can cater properly for everyone, organise meals, book venues, trips and secure additional funding needed, we kindly ask families to pre‑book where possible.
It’s very simple: Just scan the QR code on our Summer Course posters and complete the quick online form.
Why parents choose CDI
Last summer, 153 young people took part in our programme, with an average of 84 attending each day. Parents tell us they value CDI because we offer:
- A safe, supervised environment
- Positive role models
- Healthy meals
- Affordable (free!) childcare support
- Fun activities that build confidence and friendships
- A chance for young people to create memories that last a lifetime
We don’t want any young person to miss out on opportunities, support or purpose this summer. If you know another family who might benefit, please share our poster and help us spread the word.
We look forward to welcoming your child for a summer full of fun, friendship and community pride
Warm Regards,
Katy
