Oxfordshire Schools Games Hockey - 3rd Place!
Incredible performances from our team
This afternoon, Grant from TOA gave Coach Risby and our team of Year 5/6 hockey players (plus our secret weapon) a lift to Radley college for the Oxfordshire School Games finals, where the best 10 hockey teams in Oxford were due to compete.
We didn't actually qualify for this competition as there was not a City level competition possible, but took up our place none the less to have a good time and enjoy playing.
It turns out, we were brilliant.
Facing schools across the county, including some Prep schools with hockey teachers and pitches at their school, we reached the semi-finals, and ultimately came away with bronze medals.
A fantastic achievement from an incredible group of children!
Also, I have included a couple of photos of our lone represntative in the County Cross Country, who spent the whole day at Radley and performed admirably!
