Billy Bodin from OUFC Visits

A visit from Oxford United

Yesterday afternoon, Cameron from Oxford United's Community programme arranged for Oxford United player Billy Bodin to come in to school and talk to the children about his career and journey at the school.

Coach Rama led a Q&A where Billy told us all about how he started and the highs and lows of his career, it was wonderful to have someone who grew up relatively locally (even if it was Swindon) come and talk to the children.

His big message was about making sure that you enjoy playing sports and always do it with a smile on your face.

One day, this might be one of our young stars going in to schools sharing their story of success.

He shared stories about playing with Gareth Bale against Luis Suarez and stayed for photos with all of the children and Mrs Ball.

Next time we will get Simon Eastwood in for Debbie.
